I am a practising British barrister, part-time YouTuber and legal career expert, living in the UK 🇬🇧
Facts about me
- I graduated from The University of Sheffield with a Bachelors (LL.B) and Masters (LL.M) degree in Law (Distinction).

Here we will explore what the Bar is and why you want to be a barrister. We will consider the employed Bar and the self-employed Bar before looking at the regulator and general pupillage statistics.
In this chapter we take a closer look at the Inns of Court and gain a full picture of who is offering pupillage and in what areas. You will learn different methods for financing education to become a barrister.
You will learn the art of turning your work experience into CV-worthy paragraphs that jump off the page and catch barristers’ eyes when it comes to sifting through paper applications. Learning this skill is crucial to get your pupillage applications off the long-list to the short-list which leads to an interview offer. We will also consider what work experience options there are and how to go about getting the best experience to build a winning pupillage application.
