Lawyer

A lawyer is anyone who is licensed to provide legal advice, which includes solicitors and barristers. Solicitors work directly with clients on a daily basis, handling legal advice, drafting documents, and representing clients in lower courts, while barristers are primarily court advocates and legal specialists who are self-employed in "chambers". The term is also sometimes used for other legal professionals, like chartered legal executives (CiLEX), who are qualified lawyers specialising in specific areas.
